PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a peer-to-peer system for distributing contents to have contents redistributed from clients that provide good distribution qualities and good licensing requirements.;SOLUTION: In response to a request to distribute contents, a server 10 sends to a requesting client 10 a list of client candidates capable of redistribution according to the connection of each client distributed with contents. The requesting client 20 sends to each of the reported candidate clients a request to send connection environment information, and acquires information about distribution quality, licensing requirements and the like from each client. Based on this information, a request for connection and/or distribution is sent to the client having the best connection environment, and the contents are distributed from the client.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
