PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for preventing the erroneous attachment of the die of an extrusion molding machine which is prevented from erroneously attaching an improper die even when the die is attached manually, and constituted to be high in durability. PSOLUTION: When a die 3 having a hole 11 the position of which is different from that of a pin 21 protruding from a molding machine side engagement part 20 is attached to the extrusion molding machine, the engagement part 20 can not be engaged with a die side engagement part 10 so that the attachment of the die is prevented. Since the kind of the die 3 is distinguished by the hole 11 formed in the die 3, the attachment is not affected by heat, vibration, impact, etc., as in the case in which the kind of the die 3 is distinguished, for example, magnetically or electronically, so that the durability is eminently improved.
