PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the quantification of the symptom of cataract with higher precision using the color image data of the images of the eyes suffering the cataract with a slit lamp microscope as captured by an image pickup means. PSOLUTION: The optical system comprising the slit lamp microscope with a power source and the image pickup means previously undergoes the color correction using the color chart before used in the imaging for the color image data of the eyes suffering cataract. Moreover, when acquiring the color image data of the eyes suffering cataract using the optical system finished with the color correction, the color correction of the acquired image data is carried out using as reference the mean of the chromaticity vector values at the iris parts of the image data of the eyes suffering cataract of the same patient already obtained.
