PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for evaluating allelopathy-absorptive performance by which allelopathy-reducing technology using material such as activated carbon is easily evaluated in view of prior arts so as to make the allelopathy-reducing technology shortly spread over the site.;SOLUTION: To provide a method for evaluating allelopathy-absorptive performance comprises the following process in order to judge whether or not a test material has an allelopathy substance-absorbing/eliminating function through the growth condition of sown plants: (A) dividing an allelopathy substance-permeable medium into two via a test material layer or an allelopathy substance-permeable partition, putting a plant body secreting the substance in one divided medium, and sowing the other divided medium with plant seeds known as to be acted by the substance, or mixing the other divided medium with the test material while stirring the mixture followed by sowing the other divided medium with plant seeds known as to be acted by the substance; or alternatively (B) embedding an allelopathy substance-discharging body wrapped in an allelopathy substance-permeable medium mixed with the test material so as to form double layers, and sowing plant seeds known as to be acted by the substance on the embedded body.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
