Three-dimensional scene display process with virtual displacement correlated to real displacement of user involves using transition functions to obtain virtual displacement on second surface, from detected real displacement on first surface
Display of a three-dimensional (3D) scene allowing virtual displacement in the scene as a function of the real displacement of a user or an object manipulated by the user involves: defining a first limited surface that facilitates detection of a real displacement of a user or an object; defining a second limited surface in the scene; defining functions of transition from the whole of the first surface to the whole of the second surface, associating one point of the second surface to each point of the first surface; using the functions to obtain a virtual displacement in the scene, on the second surface starting from the detected real displacement of the user or object on the first surface; and displaying the scene as a function of the obtained virtual displacement. Independent claims are also included for the following: (a) a display system of a 3D scene allowing virtual displacement in a 3D scene with respect to the real displacement of a user or a object manipulated by the user; (b) a computer program including instructions of the program code for execution of the states of a 3D scene display process; (c) a device for detection of displacement of a user and/or an object on a first limited surface; and (d) a device for estimation and virtual displacement in a 3D scene as a function the real displacement of a user or an object manipulated by the user.
