Method for coherent imagery of object with correction for atmospheric turbulence effects comprises generating meshes of pupil observation zones and coherent averaging of amplitudes of object wave cleared of turbulence effects
The method comprises a first and second mesh generation of the observation pupils in zones (Zm) of a given dimension. N measurements (1) are taken at different given instants (ti) of the complex amplitude (UM1(r)) of the object wave field back scattered by the object on each of the zones. A first estimation (2) over each zone of the different meshes is made by coherent averaging of the measurements of an averaged amplitude Um(r) equal to the complex amplitude (U0(R)) of the object wave cleared of the turbulence effects, affected by a reference phase term (phi1mpiston) at each zone. An estimation (3) is made over the whole of the observation pupil of the complex amplitude of the object wave cleared of the turbulence effects, by putting back into phase the first estimations evaluated over the part covering the zones. An Independent claim is included for a coherent imagery device.
