The slip free chess set consists of a flexible cloth mat covered with Velcro material, and chess figures with their standing surfaces covered with Velcro material, thereby providing slip free holding. The figures are 5 mm thick, flat, round wooden discs upon each of which is printed a symbol representing the figure. The flexible cloth mat replaces the chessboard, and despite the positioning of figures in the middle of play can be rolled up for transporting.
