Rear light, brake light and fog light testing system for road vehicle uses optical fiber terminals in dashboard visible to driver and optical fibers are illuminated by electric lights in rear of vehicle
Electric lamps are installed in the rear lights (3), the brake lights (4) and a rear fog light (5). Individual optical fiber terminals pass through the walls (6,7) of the right-hand and left-hand lamp clusters (1,2). The optical fibers (8-12) pass to the vehicle dashboard (14) in front of the vehicle driver via a cable bundle (13). They divide to go to individual terminals (15) on the face of the dashboard. The appropriate terminal is illuminated when each lamp is ON.
