The bit for a horse bridle has a bit piece between two mirror symmetrical bridle rods each formed with an upper rod section (6) and a lower rod section (3). The upper rod section ends in a cheekpiece ring (7) with a hook for suspension of a chin chain. The hooks are annular having one end (9.1) rigidly connected to the cheekpiece ring. the other end is spaced from the cheekpiece ring.
