The dieting computer has a terminal with displays and a keyboard, a programming unit and electronic weighing scales (22). Displays (1-5,8) with function keys (6) show kilocalories, protein values, fat content, cholesterol values, bread units, and the glycemic index of the ingredients or meal. Display blocks (28,29) with function keys (32,33) give the main vitamins and micro-elements in the ingredients/meal. The central display block (17) with function keys (21) shows the foodstuff codes, weight and the cell trade content. The programming unit takes the input from the keys for correction by stored values, to give the total nutritional value for each meal. A display (10) shows the insulin dosage needed according to bread units and the glycemic index, and a display (9) with a function key shows the reduction factor.
