The device divides electrical signals according to acoustic frequency ranges in which acoustic tones are to be produced and drives individual loudspeakers (1,2) with the signals. Signals are divided into at least a first acoustic frequency range up to a frequency less than 1,500 Hz and at least one higher range. The loudspeaker/loudspeakers for the further range/ranges is/are driven with a delay compared to the loudspeaker(s) for the lowest range.
