Patient blood flow examination device for investigating blood vessel reaction ability has means for applying localized cooling or heating to a body area and measuring the resultant blood flow through contracted or dilated vessels
Method for examining the functioning, especially the reaction ability of patient blood vessels by stimulation of vessel contraction or dilation by controlled localized heating or cooling of a body area so that the resultant blood flow can be measured. An independent claim is included for a device for implementation of the inventive method that has a system for application of localized heating to a part of a patient's body by surrounding it with an enclosure through which a heating or cooling gas or liquid flows.
