Drill pipe with on-line measurement feature comprises of three interconnected linkages that include concentric pipes joined together by cable couplings with electroconductive contact rings which are interconnected via cable
The drill pipe comprises of three interconnected linkages (1,2,3). The linkages include concentric pipes (9,10) which are joined together by cable couplings (7,8). Each cable coupling has an electroconductive contact ring (5,6) which is electrically isolated from the housing the cable coupling but electrically connected to other contact rings via a cable (15). The concentric pipes are arranged inside respective coating pipes (21,26) which are interconnected through matching threads (17,18). An independent claim is included for the use method of the drill pipe in forming building ground supports.
