A method for distributing processes and procedures to several processing authorities, in which the number of externally arriving processes and procedures and a number of internally prescribed processes are distributed to a number of available processing authorities. A service level is given and indicates how many of the externally entering processes or procedures are actually accepted within a prescribed period of time for processing and the externally arriving processes or procedures are targeted on a first group of selected processing authorities, such that the actual service level best possibly matches the specified service level, and the internal processes are distributed to the remaining processing authorities forming a second group.
