The stay pin (1) for the crawler track of a track-laying vehicle has a U-shaped slotted section (3) in which a wear rail profile (6) fits centrally. The wear rail profile in cross section is designed symmetrically to a middle vertical axis of the stay pin. The wear rail profile in its cross section tapers towards its upper edge and has a height which varies in its longitudinal direction. The upper edge of the wear rail profile is provided with a zigzag form profiling.
