Method for labeling one-way deposit drinks cans or bottles in which a barcode is applied to the container. The barcode label comprises two barcodes arranged either in parallel, serially or displaced relative to each other. One barcode comprises product information, while the other contains additional information. An Independent claim is made for a product identifying barcode made up of two individual barcodes combined to form a single barcode with product and additional information.
