Electromagnetic actuator, e.g. for vehicle ABS, has end faces with number of inclined areas forming multiple conical and/or serrated crossing region with no non-magnetic distancing element in end face crossing region
The actuator has an armature (16) movable axially in a housing (10) relative to a core element (12) by a defined stroke and a coil device (20) for generating the movement. The armature and core elements have facing end surfaces (22) in a crossing region. No non-magnetic distancing element is provided in the crossing region and the end faces have a number of inclined areas (40,42,44,46) forming a multiple conical and/or serrated crossing region.
