A system for controlling an auxiliary resistance in exercise/rehabilitation mainly comprises: a rehabilitation device capable of rehabilitating hand or leg in which the rehabilitation device includes a turning wheel rotatable by hand or leg, the shaft of the turning wheel being driven by a motor which can control the turning wheel to generate a different degree of resistance and a different degree of power output, in which the resistance is designed by simulating friction forces on different roads; and a motor output control device for converging the resistance set by the resistance adjustment control device, and the push force exerted by a patient by pushing or pedaling when the turning wheel is suspending in air, such that, after an analysis on the physical characteristics of a standard motor, the compensation to the motor can be controlled and the output of the motor can be controlled subsequently. When the turning wheel of the rehabilitation device suspends in air, a patient pushes or pedals the turning wheel pre-set with a resistance, and the motor output control device automatically detects the magnitude of the pre-set resistance and the pushing or pedaling force and controls the motor to supply a suitable auxiliary electric power in order to drive the turning wheel. Along with a gradual increase in the resistance from the adjustment by the resistance adjustment control device, the strength of hand/leg of a patient also increases. Ultimately, a patient can push or pedal the turning wheel per se without the need of the auxiliary electric power in order to achieve a gradual rehabilitation of the hand/leg of a patient.
