The device has a transport unit (11) for the workpieces (12, 13) and spinning wheels (14, 15, 16) for the radiating means arranged side by side across the transport direction of the workpieces. The spinning wheels are arranged in different planes parallel to each other across the transport direction. The planes are preferably at an angle other than 90 degrees to the transport direction and all planes can be aligned at the same angle. The radiating fields of the spinning wheels directly adjoin one another.
