Method for quality assessment and process monitoring in cyclical production processes, whereby first and second adjustment and a production phase are defined and a quality assessment of the produced products is made based on a set of quality characteristics. The first adjustment phase involves generation of a training data set, while the second phase involves recording of sample data, while the production phase uses the data generated in the other phases. The inventive method uses neuronal networks in its training phase and control.
