Chute and scraper for scraper chain conveyor for underground mining, esp. for coal has wear-resistant inserts of oxide ceramics, and protective inserts of wear-resistant steel in chute and scrapers
The chute has upper and lower sections with two profiled sides and connecting base for guidance of scrapers connected to a chain. Sides and/or base have inserts of wear-resistant material, of e.g. oxide ceramic material. The inserts are fitted into apertures (8,28,14) in base plate (5,25) and/or sides (3,23). They are shaped like rails (9,29) or profiled strips (13,33) extending over the complete length of the chute (10). Protective inserts of hard metal or highly wear resistant steel are positioned in the apertures in front of and behind the rails/strips, in traveling direction of the chain. A scraper has a running surface with inserts of oxide ceramic material, and protective inserts of hard metal or highly wear resistant steel. The scraper body is of light-weight material., e.g. light metal, plastic, composite material, etc.
