Motor vehicle air conditioning system feeds coolant from condenser to cold storage device to charge it, can use cold released when discharging cold storage device to reduce condensation temperature
The device has at least one first coolant compressor (10), condenser (12), first expansion element (14), evaporator (16) and a cold storage device (18) especially provided for relieving the load on the air conditioning system while stationary. Coolant emanating from the condenser can be fed to the cold storage device to charge it and cold becoming free when discharging the cold storage device can be used to reduce the condensation temperature. An independent claim is also included for the following: (a) a method of cooling the interior of a motor vehicle.
