FIELD: medicine, phytotherapy. SUBSTANCE: invention proposes an agent that can be used for treatment of liver cirrhosis accompanying with ascitis. Invention proposes agent representing the herbal species comprising the following components: vegetable parsley herb, knot- grass herb, pheasant's eye herb and maize stigmas and containing additionally: common sandy immortelle, linden flowers, flax seeds, fennel fruits, garden angelica roots, Saint-John's-wort herb, centaury herb, licorice roots, sweet flag rhizome with roots, dandelion roots, madder roots, common wormwood herb, European goldenrod herb, pine buds, medicinal sweet clover herb, Iceland moss, gum-tree leaves, cowberry leaves, bearberry herb, black elder flowers, pot-marigold herb, juniper fruits, burnet roots taken in the definite ratio of components. Intake of this agent results to normalization of biochemical indices and clinical symptoms of liver cirrhosis.
