PURPOSE: A flat type commutatorless DC motor and an apparatus and a method are provided to apply the motor to a small terminal, and allow for control of motor RPM, rotating velocity and forward and reverse directions of motor. CONSTITUTION: A flat type commutatorless DC motor driving control apparatus comprises a stator arranged on a flat type lower case, and mounted with two or more field coils; a rotor having a permanent magnet(8) constituted by a plurality of magnetic pole sectors, wherein the rotor rotates on the stator centering from a shaft; first and second magnetic pole detection units spaced apart from the field coils on the stator, wherein the magnetic pole detection units detect signals corresponding to magnetic poles from a region adjacent to the permanent magnet of the rotor, and output first and second magnetic pole detection signals; and a motor driving control unit for selecting a field coil to be driven, by using a forward and reverse control command, and motor driving and rotating velocity control command of a main controller(36), and the first and second magnetic pole detection signals, and transmitting position-controlled rotating power to an external source by applying a driving current corresponding to the rotating velocity control command to the selected field coil and driving the rotor at a desired RPM, rotating velocity and forward and reverse directions.
