PURPOSE: An overhaul method for a hydraulic turbine is provided to achieve improved efficiency and accuracy of overhaul, while reducing the overhaul time. CONSTITUTION: An overhaul method comprises a step of checking and separating devices and units so as to de a hydraulic turbine generator(1) in an easy and efficient manner; a step of disassembling a generator unit(2) and performing a repair and maintenance process on each component; a step of disassembling a hydraulic turbine unit(3) and performing a repair and maintenance process on each component; a step of performing a repair and maintenance process on the components and auxiliary devices of the generator unit and the hydraulic turbine unit; a step of sequentially assembling the components of the hydraulic turbine unit; a step of sequentially assembling the components of the generator unit; and a step of checking the assembled the hydraulic turbine generator and performing tests for operation.
