PURPOSE: A device for testing the opening and closing durability of a sliding door of a vehicle is provided to repeatedly test normal and emergency opening and closing motions of the sliding door and the opening and closing of the door if a passenger stands on a sliding door footing. CONSTITUTION: A lever operating cylinder unit operating a switch lever for opening and closing of a sliding door(1) comprises a lever connecting tool installed at the end of an operating rod moved by pneumatic pressure in an air cylinder and the switch lever connected to the lever connecting tool. An emergency opening check device(20) contacted to a sensor flange(2) to check an emergency opening state while the door is opened is composed of a driving cylinder(21) operated by the pressure of working fluid supplied from an air control box(40) and a substitute article(23) for a passenger installed to a driving rod of the driving cylinder and contacted to the sensor flange of the sliding door by an operation of the driving rod. A photoelectric relay sensor control unit(30) controls a photoelectric relay sensor(7) if the passenger stands on a footing(4) of the sliding door and comprises a driving cylinder(31) operated by pressure of the working fluid supplied from the air control box and a shielding plate(33) disposed to a driving rod(32) of the driving cylinder to operate the photoelectric relay sensor according to a motion of the driving rod. The air control box generates driving force to operate the lever operating cylinder unit, the emergency opening check device, and the photoelectric relay sensor control unit in order.
