PURPOSE: A design and temporary construction method for a long-span composite slab bridge composed of a steel I-girder, reinforced concrete and a P.C. tendon is provided to reduce the deflection of a composite slab structure and to increase structural stiffness. CONSTITUTION: The design and temporary construction method for a long-span composite slab bridge(5) composed of a steel I-girder, reinforced concrete and a P.C. tendon comprises the steps of installing steel I-girders(6) regularly on a bridge bearing of an abutment or a pier, arranging P.C. tendons(8) together with reinforcing bars on each section(9) between I-girders(6), placing and curing concrete(7) to unify the I-girder(6) and the concrete(7) in a section of the slab bridge(5), tensioning and anchoring the pre-arranged P.C. tendons(8) on both sides of each concrete structure in each section(9) between I-girders and inducing prestress compressive stress to each concrete structure successively to compound the steel I-girder(6), reinforced concrete(7) and the P.C. tendon(8) in one united structure.
