WIRELESS LOCAL AREA NETWORK SYSTEM CAPABLE OF SUPPORTING MOBILITY OF A HOST AND AN OPERATION METHOD THEREOF, PARTICULARLY FOR SUPPORTING MOBILITY OF BOTH A MOBILE HOST HAVING A MOBILE IPV6 STACK AND A MOBILE HOST NOT HAVING THE MOBILE IPV6 STACK
PURPOSE: A wireless local area network system capable of supporting the mobility of a host and its operation method are provided to support the mobility of a mobile host in an environment where a wireless local area network and a mobile IPv6 coexist. CONSTITUTION: An AP(Access Point)(300) allocates an IP(Internet Protocol) to an MH(Mobile Host) in an administration area by using prefix information of a gateway, generates a binding update list corresponding to the MH and then transmits it the gateway. An N/W input/output unit(303) wirelessly connected with devices in a network receives and outputs data transmitted through a network protocol. A Mac storing unit(307) stores software for performing various functions of the AP(300) and a Mac address. An IP address generator(310) generates an IP address for the MH connected to the AP(300).
