PURPOSE: A ZnO-based nano tube of a core-shell structure is provided to properly control the doping density and the band gap of a ZnO-based nano tube by making the nano tube coated with at least two layers of a metal layer, a semiconductor layer, a dielectric layer and the like. CONSTITUTION: The ZnO-based nano tube of the core-shell structure is coated with a heterogeneous material like a transition metal material, a nitride semiconductor or a dielectric. The transition metal material is Mg, Cd, Mn, Zn, Co, an alloy thereof or an oxide thereof. The nitride semiconductor is GaN, AlN, InN or an alloy thereof. The dielectric is TiO2, TiN, SiO2 or BaTiO3.
