PURPOSE: A side mirror for a vehicle is provided to enable a driver to watch in front and rear of the vehicle simultaneously by mounting CCD cameras at a cover and displaying image data. CONSTITUTION: A side mirror(10) for a vehicle is composed of a frame(32) extended from the side surface of the vehicle, a cover(30) integrally formed at the end of the frame and having a rear opening, a reflecting mirror(20) inserted into the cover, right and left CCD cameras(54,52), an image processing unit(60) for processing image data photographed by the CCD camera, a display unit(80) mounted to an instrument panel and displaying the processed image data, and a selection switch mounted to the instrument panel. The CCD cameras are installed at the covers, respectively, and photograph images in front of a vehicle through a front watching hole. The front watching hole is formed at the front of the cover. The selection switch drives the right and left CCD cameras, selectively.
