PURPOSE: A monoclonal antibody recognizing resistin, a method for production of the same antibody and use thereof are provided, thereby detecting resistin concentration in blood, so that it can be useful for diagnosis of diabetes and obesity. CONSTITUTION: The monoclonal antibody recognizing human or mouse resistin is provided, wherein the monoclonal antibody recognizing resistin comprises a detection marker being capable of forming detectable signal; the detection marker is selected from enzyme, fluorescence material, luminous material and radioactive material; the monoclonal antibody recognizing resistin is produced from hybridoma(KCTC 10428BP, KCTC 10429BP or KCTC 10430BP). A kit for detecting resistin comprises the monoclonal antibody recognizing resistin, the detection marker, a vessel containing carrier solution, dissolving solution and detergent, and a description.
