PURPOSE: A method for automatically registering a web site directory on an automatic web site directory registering system is provided to automatically select/register a web site fit to a registration standard by applying the registration standard to the web sites requesting registration after receiving the registration standard from a registration manager. CONSTITUTION: The system sets up the registration standard by receiving the registration standard from the registration manager(20). The system receives the information for the web site wanting the registration(21). The system checks a physical connection state of the web site by using the received web site information(22). The system collects pages in the web site. The system registers the web site if the registration standard is satisfied after judging quality/quantity completeness of the web site(29). If not, the system refuses the registration(28).
