PURPOSE: A pixel structure having an optimized sub pixel size for emissive display is provided to prolong a lifetime of a display. CONSTITUTION: A fixed format emissive display includes an array of emissive pixel elements(24 - 28) and an area of at least two sub-pixel elements(24,26,28) where lifetimes of the sub pixel areas lie within a predetermined tolerance range between them. Each pixel element includes at least two sub-pixel elements made by different materials. Each pixel element displays white color on a white color point within the tolerance range over the lifetime of the pixel element.
