PURPOSE: A nonmagnetic stainless steel wire, an aluminum conductor steel reinforced, and a method are provided to reduce core losses and eddy current losses, and achieve improved utilization of energy by minimizing increase of effective electrical resistances. CONSTITUTION: A nonmagnetic stainless steel wire(1) comprises 0.07 to 0.12 weight% C, 0.05 to 1.00 weight% Si, 4.5 to 12.0 weight% Mn, 16.0 to 19.5 weight% Cr, 2.5 to 6.0 weight% Ni, 0.10 to 3.0 weight% Cu, 0.05 to 0.15 weight% Nb, 0.20 to 0.40 weight% N, 0.01 to 0.10 weight% Al, and remaining part consisting of Fe and other inevitable impurities. A method for manufacturing a nonmagnetic stainless steel wire comprises a step of drawing a nonmagnetic stainless steel wire in such a manner that the wire has a tensile strength 180kg/mm¬2 or higher, strain 2.0% or higher, and a magnetic permeability 1.02§­ or lower; and a step of coating the wire with an aluminum having a thickness of 0.47 to 0.78mm so as to produce an international annealed copper standard having a conductivity of 20.3 to 27.0%.
