PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing sandwich steel sheet having superior weldability and light weight is provided, and a sandwich steel sheet is provided which secures light weight and obtains superior weldability at the same time by forming a certain resin layer when manufacturing the sandwich steel sheet. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises a step of positioning a thermosetting polyurethane resin powder-metal powder composition comprising thermoplastic polyurethane powder having number average molecular weight of 5,000 to 100,000 and 50 to 200 parts per resin of one or more of metal powders having an average particle size of 0.5 to 10 m selected from the group consisting of Ni, Zn, Sn, Co, Cu, Fe and FeP between embossing treated galvanized or Zn-Ni alloy plated steel sheets; and a step of heat treating the thermosetting polyurethane resin powder-metal powder composition positioned between the embossing treated galvanized or Zn-Ni alloy plated steel sheets to a steel sheet temperature of 100 to 250 deg.C, wherein the thermosetting polyurethane resin powder-metal powder composition positioned between the embossing treated galvanized or Zn-Ni alloy plated steel sheets is dried to form a layer having thickness of 0.1 to 0.5 mm, and wherein the embossing treated galvanized or Zn-Ni alloy plated steel sheets have thickness of 0.2 to 0.5 mm.
