PURPOSE: A system for modeling the NetVP(Network-Enabled Virtual Prototyping) and a realizing method thereof are provided to support shape representation and mutual applicability for the collaborative NetVP by using a client/server architecture and modeling/analyzing a shape through a standard web service interface of the SOAP/XML(Simple Object Access Protocol/eXtensible Markup Language). CONSTITUTION: A standard interface provides a distributed environment based on the client/server architecture, and performs a bridge function between a server and a client based on a web service using the SOAP/XML. A NetVP client(120) supports visualization and collaboration of the virtual prototyping by using the compressed visualization representation under the distributed environment, and represents a common shape model needed to each client. A NetVP server(110) provides a common modeling service needed for applications(150) including the VP under the distributed environment. A client modeling tool provides the client processing of each client.
