PURPOSE: A method for preparing a carbon nanomaterial by using mechanochemical treatment and a carbon nanomaterial prepared by the method are provided, to obtain a thermally and chemically stable and environmental-friendly carbon nanomaterial. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of (S100) mixing nickel and a carrier catalyst; (S200) preparing a supported catalyst from the mixture by using mechanochemical treatment; (400) pretreating the supported catalyst under hydrogen gas atmosphere; (S500, S600) reacting the pretreated catalyst with the pyrolyzed hydrocarbon gas to prepare a carbon nanomaterial; and optionally cooling the carbon nanomaterial under argon gas atmosphere. Preferably the carrier catalyst comprises aluminum hydroxide, and the mixture comprises nickel and the carrier catalyst in the ratio of 10.0 : 8.0-12.0 by weight. Preferably the hydrocarbon gas comprises acetylene gas.
