ENDLESS CONVEYOR WITH SMALL CUPS FOR TRANSPORTING OBJECTS BETWEEN AN OBJECT- RECEIVING AREA AND A DELIVERY AREA THEREFOR WITH VARIATION IN THE SPACING PATH OF SAID SMALL CUPS BETWEEN THE TWO AREAS AND PLANTING MACHINE OR TRANSPLANTER FITTED WITH ONE SUCH CONVEYOR
The conveyor comprises a moving endless element (3) with small cups (4) which are organized in groups and which are used to transport objects between a receiving area (5), wherein the objects are stationary and placed against each other, and a delivery area (6) wherein the objects are moveable and distanced from each other. The moveable element (3) has an upper segment, opposite the center area which is used as a receiving area (5). The small cups of said segment rest upon the upper segment of and endless friction drive belt (10) which functions in a continuous manner. A cancellable stop (13) immobilizes each group of small cups in the receiving area. When the stop is cancelled, the endless belt transfers the group of small cups, which are charged with plants, to an extension area (7) wherein the cups gradually move away from each other. The invention also relates to a planter fitted with one such conveyor.
