A thin, flexible, non-elastic and non-porous material in sheet form (9) is used in a sole (7) for a shoe, more particularly for a sports shoe, the material consists of a thin sheet of element gears (11; 11a, 11b, 11c) formed on its outer side. The material in sheet form (9) is coated with urethane adhesive on one side. The material in sheet form and coated engages a pattern of continuous perforations (17, 18, 19). Elements gear (11; 11a, 11b, 11c) are formed in a molding machine to injection through extensive perforations (17, 18, 19), wherein the anchor portions (15) are formed in elements up extending throughout from the perforations to the opposite side.
