The assembly (1) comprises a structural component (2) and a clamp device, the structural component comprising a post or upper threshold of a door or door frame. The clamp device fixes the structural component in a door or frame aperture of a wall. The structural component has an L-shaped cross-section and is provided with a first part (6) which in use locates against or adjacent to the door or frame aperture located in the wall. It has a second part which locates against the outside of the wall.
