A Medicare enrollment processing computer system automates the completion of voluminous, new, Medicare enrollment forms, to be introduced in 2002. Required by the United States Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, the forms are designated 855A, 855B, 855I, 855R, and 855S. The present invention leads the use through a series of questions that are presented in a graphical user interface. As the user answers the questions, the program validates the data entered by the user to make sure that the information is appropriate for a given field. The invention prevents users from omitting required data. In addition, the instant invention automatically inserts redundant data in appropriate fields, eliminating manual reentry of data.
