Using with the sensor which is positioned on the tanponade balloon and the bridle, the tanponade shaft or the esophagus balloon which are inserted into the esophagus and the stomach, portal vein pressure method and the device in order intermittently or continuously to measure. The tube being overturned, the tanponade balloon which is installed, is arranged over the diaphragm fissure hole, through the lumen which extends to the position outside the patient from the balloon is expanded gradually. Measurement pressure inside tanponade is increased until the blood style in the side secondary liver vein which crosses the diaphragm is cut off. When the sensor identifies the change of diameter of the vein lump, the change of color of the esophagus wall or the change of speed of the blood style, stop of the blood style to inside the esophagus vein lump is signaled. Measurement tanponade pressure in the lowest point of the vein lump blood style is equal to portal vein pressure.
