PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method, a system and a recording medium that detect and trace new items and/or new classes of documents in a database afterward. SOLUTION: The method for detecting and tracing the new items and/or the new classes of documents in a database, to which the new items and/or the new classes are added and which contains the attribute data relating to a time parameter, gives a document vector using the attribute data including the time parameter, which are included in the document, detects and traces concurrently the new items and/or the new classes by using the vector.
