PURPOSE: To make simple the structure of an apparatus for feeding textile material, such as a fiber batt and synthetic fibers to spinning preparation machines such as cards and dust removing means, and to improve the measurement and clamping of the textile material. ;CONSTITUTION: When the textile material passes a feed means, for example, a feed roller 1 cooperating width ≥1 pedals 2 and ≥1 curtains and the variations in the thicknesses of the textile material arise, the these pedals are displaced by overcoming the force of springs 14a and 14b. All the pedals are connected to a common holding member 15 which is given with initial stress and is rotatably supported. The sums of the displacements of the individual pedals appear in this holding member. The pedals and the springs include a holding area holding the pedals and a fixing area tightly fixedly connecting to the holding member. At this time, the springs simultaneously form the guide members for the displacement of the pedals and the rotating motion of the holding member given with the initial stress.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO
