PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication abnormal condition monitor method or the like whereby an information destination can monitor whether or not a vehicle fault alarm apparatus is in a communication state capable of informing the information destination about information of a vehicle fault via a wireless communication network. PSOLUTION: The vehicle fault alarm apparatus 12 provided in a vehicle makes a call to the information destination at a prescribed time interval via a wireless public communication network 20, and when the information destination cannot receive the call from the vehicle fault alarm apparatus 12 for a prescribed number of times, the information destination discriminates that the vehicle fault alarm apparatus 12 is in a communication abnormal condition wherein the vehicle fault alarm apparatus 12 cannot inform the information destination about a vehicle fault via the wireless public communication network 20.
