PSOLUTION: In this electrolyzer for mass spectrometric analysis for a hydrogen stable isotope ratio or an oxygen stable isotope ratio, a fluororesin ion-exchange membrane plated non-electrolytically with platinum, iridium, rhodium or iridium/rhodium alloy is sandwiched between a negative electrode comprising platinum-plated porous titanium and a positive electrode therewith, water is brought into contact with a positive electrode side, a current is applied between the positive electrode and the negative electrode to electrolyze the water, and oxygen gas generated in the positive electrode and hydrogen gas generated in the negative electrode are made to flow into a mass spectrograph.
