PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide information processing technology capable of predicting a traffic congestion, corresponding to a day of the week and also taking into account weather conditions and the like.;SOLUTION: A traffic congestion prediction method receives traffic information in a link unit from a traffic information providing system, produces traffic congestion data on actual traffic congestions, and stores the traffic congestion data into a traffic congestion database according to the day of the week. The method stores regional weather data into a weather database, and also stores into an event database scheduled data on events that may cause traffic congestions. Using the traffic congestion data and the weather data, the method calculates primary prediction data on the traffic conditions, and calculates secondary prediction data, using the primary prediction data and the event data.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
