PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable offset amount for centering a radiation source on a digital detector in a digital imaging system to be determined regardless of dimensions of an inspection room, an attaching structure, or variation of mechanical connection.;SOLUTION: A digital X-ray imaging system includes an offset quantity table to determine mechanical and structural offset quantity. Positions of the radiation source (12) and the detector (22) during use are shifted as far as correction is not done. Incorrectness in "drift" induced during use of mechanical connections, attaching structures in an inspection room or others, and a system (10) can be corrected by this method.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
