PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grain coarsening device for a suspended particulate material, having given heat resistance and small and light, and of low cost.;SOLUTION: A grain coarsening device 10 to coarsen a suspended particulate material (SPM) in gas is provided with a casing 12; and elements 14 contained therein and the element is constituted such that partition members 22 in which a number of through-holes are formed are laminated. The casing is provided with an inflow port 16 and an outflow port, and gas flowing in through the inflow port is guided and passes through the element and flows out through the outflow port. When a flow of gas containing the SPM passes through the element, the SPM collides with the surface of a partition wall member. Grains are coarsened as a result of collision of the SPM, contained in a flow of the gas, with each other through collision of a flow of the gas.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
