PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spilled oil treatment method at a flange connection which connects a large capacity transformer main body and a conservator, and in which the spilled oil treatment is enabled by uniform procedures. PSOLUTION: In the spilled oil treatment method at the flange connection of the large capacity transformer main body and the conservator, a heat shrinkable tube 5 with a zipper 6 has a hot melt layer 4 inside thereof between an oil pipe 1 of the large capacity transformer main body and an oil pipe 2 of the conservator. The hot melt layer 4 is isolated respectively for the specified length L from the flange connection 3 disposed at the center of the layer 4. The zipper 6 of the heat shrinkable tube 5 is removed to develop it in a sheet-like shape and abutted against the flange connection 3, rounded so as to warp the flange connection 3, made tube state by hanging the zipper 6 and subjected to heating contraction, thereby melting the hot melt layer 4. Further, the heat shrinkable tube 5 with the zipper is brought into close contact with the surfaces of the flange connection 3, the oil pipe 1 of the large capacity transformer main body and the oil pipe 2 of the conservator.
